How & why Lesvos

How to reach Lesvos

Lesvos might not be a major tourist destination, but getting here is easier than you might think. While direct flights are limited, there are numerous daily flights from Athens and some from Thessaloniki. Both cities are well-connected, making it simple to reach Lesvos from almost anywhere. Direct flights from: England, Norway, Netherlands, Belgium. Daily ferries from Athens.

An unspoiled island

Twelve million olive trees have protected Lesvos from mass tourism. The olive oil production sustained its residents, who didn’t turn their homes into tourist accommodations. Lesvos has no big hotels and resorts, just authentic Greek villages filled with local charm. Visitors can immerse themselves in genuine Greek culture, enjoy stunning landscapes, and relax in a serene atmosphere.

Affordable Destination

Even if ticket prices seem a bit higher, don't worry. Lesvos remains an affordable island, and you won't need much money to enjoy the charming tavernas and beautiful scenery.

The Practice Sessions

Tango

Connection & creativity

Our Tango classes are designed for all levels, welcoming everyone including experienced beginners and advanced dancers. We work with diverse material and emphasise the essential elements of Tango, such as connection, communication, and movement quality, ensuring that every participant can grow at their own pace. Whether you’re learning the foundations or refining advanced techniques, we focus on the structure of Tango, with a special openness to those exploring double role dancing. With precise guidance and technique, combined with a warm, supportive atmosphere, we create a space where humour and creativity thrive, allowing everyone to express their unique Tango journey in a playful and enriching way!

Yoga

Rejuvenate with Hatha & Yin

Experience a blend of Hatha and Yin yoga, mindfulness and meditation, designed to complement your Tango journey. These restorative classes enhance body awareness, support your dance practice, and provide space for recovery. No prior yoga experience is needed; suitable for all levels and tailored to your needs. Themes of grounding, balance, energy and alignment will leave you centered, revitalized, and in tune with your body throughout the retreat.

Somatic Movement

Awaken the Body

Start your day with a grounding somatic movement session for all levels. This practice focuses on mindful awareness, gentle movements, and connecting with your body’s natural rhythms. Through guided movement, you will deepen body awareness, release tension, improve alignment, balance, and mobility, and use gravity and flowing motions to ease movement through muscles and joints. These sessions allow you to move at your own pace, promoting relaxation and energy to begin your day.
